…hand over his tear-stain’d face, crying,”Horry-wud!” as the amusement park is being shot-up by the sub.
As someone who used to do two to three movies a month, I haven’t been inside a theater since December 2019. At first because they were closed, then because there were no new movies and the re-runs they were showing didn’t interest me, then came the sprinkle of new stuff, and it was a wokeist dystopia. The only one that interested me at all was Soul, and I still haven’t seen it, but will probably just stream it.
The saddest part is our local ‘plex is a small regional operation, and since we’re small market, we had $5 tickets, and $8 popcorn and drink (no longer Coke, heh). See a movie and keep fit- er, fat, for under $20. And those poltroons in Hollywood can’t get me into a seat.
Of course, like that Japanese* sailor, who was lamenting the destruction of not-Hollywood, I, too, lament the loss of something else, something that hasn’t existed for decades, anyway. I miss a chimera. But I have saved circa $800. Some of which got diverted to the scale modeling industry.
* The fact I invoke that image just certifies what a racist, bigoted, white-supremacist colonialist un-woke rat bastard I am, who will be first up against the wall when the revolution comes.
This is a Zuckerbot Test. This is a test of the Zuckerbot Protection System. This is only a test. In the event of a real misinformational event, Zuckerbots would swoop in and hide anything which might “Contradict teh Narrative.”
The test was if the Zuckerbots would detect the subject of this post via the Facebook link, and deprecate the post on FB. Thus far, no radar hits.
And it happened in my lifetime.
Though, more accurately, they mean “When we’re in charge (as we should be, indefinitely, because you’re a poopyhead), but question all authority when we aren’t.” And, Maxine Waters says, “Lynch mobs are okay, now, for whiteboyz.”

“By the rude bridge which arched the flood,
Here once the embattled farmers stood.
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
And fired the shot heard round the world.”
